The bedtime routine has taken on a whole new dimension. Now instead of books, bottle, songs and bed we have books, bottle, songs and "I want daddy."
We shouldn't give in. But after daddy carries her downstairs to "help" make a second bottle (which she doesn't really want and wont drink) she ever so sweetly lies down in her bed and goes to sleep. So who's really winning here? The alternative is 45 minutes of uninterrupted screaming followed by exactly the same routine. And daddy feels pretty routinely underappreciated, so he's kind of enjoying being in demand.
When she's 16 and behaving like a total monster, will I really look back and think "It all started with letting her have that second bottle?
